Heroes & Villains – Premier League

The last weekend of the Premiership was exciting and included some big heroes and some big villains.

Heroes included:

  • Danny Murphy Scored that incredibly important goal against Portsmouth that kept Fulham in the Premier League.
  • Ryan Giggs Won up his tenth Premier League winners’ medal with a goal in his record-equalling (Sir Bobby Charlton) 758th Manchester United appearance.
  • Birmingham Worked so hard to beat Blackburn 4-1, but due Fulham’s win meant it wasn’t enough.

Villains included:

  • Steve Bennett Should have sent Paul Scholes off for a second bookable offence but chickened out of it.
  • Petr Cech As Chelsea lost out on the title, Cech managed to take John Terry out of the game.
  • Manchester City City’s players were supposed to be proving that Sven Goran Eriksson was the right man to manage their team.  An 8-1 defeat at Middlesbrough was not helpful in that argument.
