Great church prayer meeting
September 9, 2009
Just wanted to blog really quickly to say we had a great church prayer meeting tonight.
One of the values in our youth ministry is ‘integration’ – to develop this we’re really passionate about young people getting involved in the monthly church prayer meeting. It was great to see 13 young people and some of their cell leaders (including one who was celebrating their birthday – now that’s commitment!) coming along to pray.
Tonight we engaged with some tough stuff – we’re developing a new church constitution and rules, we’re looking to elect new trustees and new elders – this is stuff that doesn’t naturally click with young people and yet Chris Mungeam made a great effort in explaining it to the young people and they just got on and prayed.
What a sight – young and old praying together.

Sounds great, I think stuff like that’s really important. Often churches have prayer meeting that can really seem like they’re only for the dedicated church members, let alone allowing young people to attend.
