The weekend that was: Friday was a trips out with our Boys Brigade and Amicus sections to 10 pin bowling. It reminded me just how humble/rubbish I am at this. Saturday was spent doing various house jobs, including fixing in the washing machine, and repairing our cat flap after Hugo head butted it and broke it. In the evening Hannah and I went and hung out with our new cell group to watch X Factor and Strictly, and munch on lots of pizza – good times.
Sunday included:
- Teaching at R’n’R (our 11-14 yr olds) on commandments 6, 8, 9 and 10.
- Lunch out on the spur of the moment with Hannah.
- An evening service on the theme of the Holy Spirit and revival.
- The joy of praying with young people who want to go deeper with God.
On my task list this week: Speaking out a lot this week, and looking at trying to bed down some new administrative structures.
Procrastinating about: Finalising plans for November and December in the diary.
Book I’m in the midst of: Loving No Well-worn Paths by Terry Virgo – so inspiring.
Music that I’ve been working along to: The Ministry APprentice team have got me into Daft Punk on a big scale.
How I’m feeling about this week: Expectant of what God could do if only we’d let him.
