Spurs were at the receiving end of two questionable calls by the touchline official.
Chelsea’s second goal from Kalou was a touch offside. But the most controversial decision was over the first goal by Lampard. The picture shows that Lampard’s shot did not cross the line completely. The video footage shows the ball not clearing the line from two angles. How on earth is an assistant referee (still really known as a linesman) supposed to get such a call right if he doesn’t get video assistance?
Redknapp beleives that the linesman could cost them £30m.
Other sports such as cricket and tennis have this kind of technology, and yet every few weeks there is a major controversy as another bad decision is made, this needs to change.
