One of the 2011 census figures that stood out for me was that those in the armed forces are more likely to declare themselves to be a Christian in comparison with the general public, check out the post by EChurch Blog:

The percentage of UK Regular Armed Forces who are Christian reduced from 897 per cent in 2007 to 83.5 per cent in 2012. In the same period, the number of personnel declaring ‘No Religion’ increased from 9.5 per cent in 2007 to 14.7 per cent in 2012.

So, interestingly, it would appear that the Armed Forces have a higher proportion of those self-declaring as Christian than the population in general, which according to the2011 Census stands at 72%.

A breakdown of the figures in terms of other religions and according to Army, RAF and Navy, can be found on this link (PDF).
