Following on from a previous fair-trade day in February I spent today running a fair-trade day in another local secondary school. We used the same package of activities as before, this time with eighty five year 8 pupils (12-13 year olds). It worked well, although it was clear they didn’t have the same level of ability to discuss the issues of global citizenship as the year 9 pupils.
I love the opportunities we’re being given in local schools in Tonbridge and hope we can continue to develop this to offer to more pupils each year.
