I’ve been thinking whether we’ve missed a trick in our youth ministry. The wedding of William and Catherine on Friday will be one of the most watched bits of TV around the world in 2011. We use events like the football world cup and the olympics for evangelistic purposes but I haven’t seen anyone talk about how they’re using the royal wedding in their youth ministry.
I know of some groups of elderly people who are getting together to watch it and celebrate; some of our young people will be part of the uniformed groups of children and young people in The Mall; but I don’t know of a youth ministry doing anything explicit – have we missed an opportunity – what do you think?
