As part of my subscription to Youthwork Magazine I was given The Lion Handbook to the Bible by Pat and David Alexander.  I remember first getting a copy of this when I was a young teenager, and it’s one of those books that is always useful to have on the shelf as a basic introduction to anything in the Bible.

The book contains over 680 pages of book by book detail on the Bible which includes notes on key words, meaning and interpretation.  It has over 700 colour pictures, 20 charts and diagrams, and 68 maps to name just a few things.

It truly is a great introductory book that every youth worker should have on their book shelf.  But best of all I got it for free because of my subscription to Youthwork Magazine which is a fantastic resource full of great articles, and suggestions for sessions.  If you don’t subscribe consider signing up.
