I’ve recently been reading J. Hudson Taylor: A Man in Christ (Missionary Life Stories) by Roger Steer. A couple of thoughts so far:
- It’s been an inspiring read to hear of Taylor’s focus on going to China as a missionary – once he’d sensed God’s calling on his life he did everything in his power to see it happen.
- His father had a massive impact on his initial development – James and Amelia Taylor had prayed and without forcing this on him they encouraged, developed and supported his passion:
Dear God, if you should give us a son, grant that he may work for you in China.
It made me think what are my prayers for young Daniel.
