Well after a long drawn out affair, Liverpool have beaten Arsenal by completing a season long loan deal for Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin.
Sahin was signed last season by Real Madrid from the German Champions Borussia Dortmund, where he was named the Bundesliga Payer of the Season. The Turkish international has 31 caps for his country.
Arsenal were unwilling to accept a loan deal and were pushing for a permanent transfer which neither Madrid nor Sahin himself agreed.
There’s mixed reports out there about the possibility of an option to buy the player at the end of the loan, so we will report more on this when the facts come out.
I think this is a great coup for Liverpool – what does everyone think of the deal for Nuri Sahin?
