The weekend that was:I’m really into the place of camp preparation so much of the weekend has been spent writing materials, printing resources, and so on.  On Saturday before sitting down to write the devotions booklet, we went to Lakeside were following a trip round Ikea to buy another bookcase, Hannah went off to spend this week with her parents.

Sunday included more writing, explain our twitter feed at 3 services, meeting up with a young person, and our pre-camp leaders social.  It’s been a very work filled weekend – but quite productive at the same time.

On my task list this week: I’ve got a few meetings this week, but it’s pretty much all about summer camp, and the start of the autumn term, beyond that it can wait this week.  Excited to be hosting a BBQ for some of the older young people and students from my previous youth work.

Procrastinating about: Decisions over style and structure of Sunday nights.

Book I’m in the midst of: Been enjoying The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-city Neighbourhood by David Simon and Edward Burns as a break from youth ministry.

Music that I’ve been working along to: Anything with a beat is essential at the moment.

How I’m feeling about this week:Incredibly busy, but excited about what we believe God is preparing to do at summer camp.

Married to the amazing Sarah and raising Jakey, Daniel, Amelia, Josh & Jonah in our blended family. Passionate for Jesus, social work & sport.
