The weekend that was:Friday was our first night of Brigades and Amicus.  It was great seeing lots of the young people back after the summer break, and watching the new year 7s continue to integrate.  Saturday was a bit of a blur, we overslept, spent some time with my brother and his fiancee over lunch and then I worked and slept for much of the rest of the day.

Sunday morning was fairly manic.  We started our series on the Bible at R’n’R for our 11-14 year olds – great to hear them talking about what bible they have and how they read it.  I had a couple of meetings in the afternoon and then on again to SNR (11-18 year olds) where we started a series on Paul: a follower of Jesus.  This week we majored on his conversion experience, and what it means to have a life changing encounter with Jesus.  Two exciting moments: watching 12 young people pray for one of our guys as he goes to uni next weekend; having 9 young people say they’re interested in being baptised – happy days.

On my task list this week: Starting a Christian Union in a local secondary school, hosting our new Parents’ Forums, and trying to make sure we are all sorted for the next few months.

Procrastinating about: Filing.

Book I’m in the midst of: Started The Complete Book of Discipleship by Bill Hull.

Music that I’ve been working along to: I’ve been enjoying some old school Keane recently.

How I’m feeling about this week: Hoping to make some great decisions about our outreach work in the next couple of weeks – praying for wisdom.

Married to the amazing Sarah and raising Jakey, Daniel, Amelia, Josh & Jonah in our blended family. Passionate for Jesus, social work & sport.
