I have an urge to purge, to unclutter, to organise and sort out. At the moment sizeable portions of my office, and bits at home do not feel like they are in order, and as I have been working high numbers of hours at work it only seems to get worse. Alongside that I have two reasons for this increased disorganisation:
I started re-filing the talks, sessions, thoughts, lessons and assemblies that I lead into thematic and Biblical filing systems, but never got the chance to finish. The break after Christmas just wasn’t long enough.
Tessa, my volunteer who comes and helps with my filing, and more importantly makes me scared and embarrassed when I haven’t done it, hasn’t been in to the office since the start of January as she has been re-decorating her house. Oh how I hope Tessa has finished her decorating!
So having felt this urge to be more organised, to purge useless paperwork, to organise the necessary paperwork I need to think how I may this into an action, and not just keep it as a feeling. How do you keep on top of things, and what systems do you implement to ensure that you keep what you need and purge the rest.
