The France squad for the European Championships this summer are coming to terms with the prospect of two weeks without the Nintendo Wii after coach Raymond Domenech banned his players from playing the console during the tournament. Domenech reportedly played Wii and picked up a nasty little injury. He said:
It is a physical exercise. It is [what caused] my tendinitis because I played a boxing match. I could not move my shoulder for two days.
After discovering just how dangerous playing Wii could be, the French coach decided he couldn’t risk losing any of his players during Euro 2008 and took decisive action. [Via The Offside]
