Tomorrow evening we’re running Slum Survivor! at Tonbridge Baptist Church . Slum Survivor is all about hanging out together, spending some time like a billion spend a lifetime. Over 75 of our young people will be involved, with over 45 of our young people spending 12 hours on this challenge, building their own temporary settlement outside and sleeping there for tomorrow night, eating a limited diet and undertaking real life challenges. As they do it they’ll be raising money for some of our young people who will be going to visit Mumbai in July and working in some of the poorest communities in the world.
Listen to BBC Radio Kent tomorrow morning at 7.45am to hear me and a couple of the young people I work with talking about Slum Survivor, tune in on 96.7fm or 104.2fm or DAB.
I’ll post again later in the weekend with an update on how it went, and which challenges we used, to help you prepare to run your own Slum Survivor.
