I used Loved for Who I am by Carlo Maria Martini to help guide some of my quiet times whilst away on retreat.  The book was originally written as a retreat for young people, but it has become a spiritual classic in its own right.  Cardinal Martini opens up scripture using Lectio Divina and encourages us to ask “Who am I” and “Who is my God”.  The book is split into 9 sessions each with a bible passage, some reflections and some commentary from the Cardinal.

  1. You may well have read it in Youthwork magazine or on blogs various. There is also a launch at Saturday lnchtime at the Southport Youthwork conference for those going to that one so the site launches on the 9th. I for one am looking forward to seeing it!
