Someone gave me a copy of the One Minute Bible for Students: 366 Devotions Connecting You with God Every Day by Doug Fields and John R. Kohlenberger III. It’s a great book, at a reasonable price (£9 on amazon) and is certainly cheaper than buying quarterly bible reading notes. Fields and Kohlenberger write well for teenagers, and it uses the NIV translation that is used by so many churches. My only two issues are that it is written from an American context which means some things don’t translate across to the UK youth culture;my second issue, which goes for all bible reading notes, is that for some they would use it instead of a Bible, but I think it is important for teenagers to use a real bible, to get used to finding references, and seeing a verse in the context of a chapter, of a book, of a testament, of the whole Bible.
