Reflex by Dick Francis was a good read, but not excellent.
Philip Nore is beginning to end his life as a Jockey. A photographer heknows dies, but in dodgy grounds. Nore discovers the photographers secret: a file of photos that would change the horse racing world. The story is how he deciphers the images and what he does with them.
As with all of Francis’ writings you never want to put the book down, but I did feel slightly let down by the ending – it didn’t seem to have as many twists and turns as I expected.
