Guus Hiddink is awesome! He is one of those managers who quietly gets on with the job. Under his leadership South Korea, Australia, and now Russia have all found, to some degree success.
Last night the Russians beat Sweden in their biggest post Soviet era win, and one wouldn’t want to rule them out from carrying on in the tournament. The pick of the players was Andrei Arshavin, back from suspension, and his blistering pace ran the Swedes ragged. A hand in the first goal and then shutting down the Swedish comeback with a goal of his own.
But leave it to Hiddink. He is not resting on his laurels.
