Recently I’ve been thinking about the use of swear words in culture (Andy Crouch writes … Dear Mumford & Sons), and the great Jon Jolly then wrote a post on Swearing which has generated some good debate amongst youth workers on when is foul language appropriate and not, how do we deal with music which is wholly inappropriate but doesn’t include swear words and so on.  I then came across this youtube clip courtesty of Adam Mclane:

It struck me as an example of something that works in the immediate context, for example it might work well in a summer camp but when would it not be appropriate.  There’s some good comments on Adam’s post about the intelligence a congregation has – would they really apply that in their work place or would they understand it as a joke – what do you think?
