What a game last night, was gutted to be at a meeting in one of the best every European games.  It highlights to the rest of the world why the Premiership is the place to be, although it was certainly helped by very poor goalkeeping at both ends, especially with Cech.  Chelsea should be worried for future games with Cech flapping at everything and Ashley Cole suspended for the next game, playing without a normal left-back could be fun, at least they’ll have John Terry back, and he certainly gives confidence to Cech and the others.

Watching the highlights I was proud of the way Liverpool always seem capable of a comeback, even at Stamford Bridge where no-one scores more than 2, we score 4.  It will be interesting to see if Benitez’s policy of keeping Gerrard on the sidelines will allow us to focus on the league and finally win the title that we’ve been striving after.  With six games to go, games against Arsenal, Hull, Newcastle United, West Ham, West Brom, Tottenham, we’re in with a chance but I still think we’re going to struggle.

Roman Abramovich is going to come under increasing pressure to decide on Chelsea or Russia for Guus Hiddink.
