The weekend that was: Friday was a big night at Brigades – we tried to do joint devotions across all the young people – the band sounded awesome, but it didn’t quite flow as I’d hoped.

Saturday morning was spent at an NCT sale buying some bits and pieces in preparation for our baby boy.  In the evening we went out to friends for dinner which was lovely.

Sunday was busy:

  • R’n’R continued its series on The 10 Commandments.
  • Lunch with two young people – they cooked an awesome lunch.
  • Baptism service at church – 4 young people and 3 adults – it’s always a wonderful priviledge to baptise people, and hear their story of faith.
  • After church we had approx. 50 young people and leaders come and hang out at ours for a couple of hours – lots of fun and catch up.

On my task list this week: Prep for some speaking engagements, trying to cement our schools work commitments, helping Hannah with her school residential.

Procrastinating about: Chasing some replies back to emails and phone calls.

Book I’m in the midst of: Still reading chunks of The Complete Book of Discipleship by Bill Hull.

Music that I’ve been working along to: Paul van Dyk has featured heavily recently.

How I’m feeling about this week: Excited that more young people want to be baptised, asking God to keep working in our youth ministry.

  1. Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
    God will appreciate it.
