The weekend that was: Friday was a night of leaders hanging out together, eating pizza, and thinking about behaviour management.  Saturday morning was spent in the office trying to move desks ready for the new year-out team.  In the afternoon I went to a local wedding, and in the evening we had a street party with the local neighbours.  It was great getting to know people who I’ve spent the last few months nodding hello to, but not really knowing who they are.

Sunday was a great day.  We travelled to Didcot for Samuel’s dedication (Baby of Dan & Becky who is Hannah’s cousin).  It was great to spend some time with friends and family, sad to know they’ll soon be back in Nepal, but exciting at the same time.  In the evening we had our first SNR (11-18 year olds) of the academic year – it was a good blend of prayer, worship and reflection on what’s God doing in people’s lives.

On my task list this week: Finishing moving desks, starting our year-out team, schools work, and the re-start of our Brigades, plus a BBQ for those in year 10 to look at how they can use their gifts and talents to serve in the church.

Procrastinating about: Filing.

Book I’m in the midst of: Enjoying My Favourite Wife by Tony Parsons ,always nice to read a bit of fiction.

Music that I’ve been working along to: Allowing Dan (one of the year-out team) to educate me!

How I’m feeling about this week: Excited by what God has been doing, hoping for more great things in the next few weeks.

Married to the amazing Sarah and raising Jakey, Daniel, Amelia, Josh & Jonah in our blended family. Passionate for Jesus, social work & sport.
