One of the things that David always encouraged me to do was to blog a review of some of the youth activities I was involved in.  Well as I start my new job I thought it was a good opportunity to take up his challenge, and each Monday to write a little about what we did with those in our youth work.

Over the next few weeks this will probably be quite random, given most of the groups shut down during the summer, but they always say there is no better time to start than the present.  So here goes…

R’n’R (11-14 year olds)

As it was the last session of the year, the leaders led an interactive fun morning, playing lots of games, and introducing the year 6s who will be joining the group in September.  Lots of very simple games (stand on a bench and order yourself into height order without stepping off the bench) kept the pace really quick which is what they need.  I managed to learn all the new young people’s names by the end of the morning.  Thanks to Stu for organising it.

Junior SNR (11-14 year olds) & Senior SNR (14-18 year olds)

They had a week off due to my commissioning service, which I will probably blog about tomorrow.
