You have to feel sorry for Paddy Kenny. You are a Championship goalkeeper. You have kept the multi-million pound strikers of a Premier League side at bay for the best part of 200 minutes during which time you have been the standout player having made a string of great saves. Then six minutes before the end of extra time it all goes wrong.
Mido’s shot was deflected on to an upright, but as Kenny tried to retrieve the rebound he could only turn the ball over his own line. That is a truely bad day at the office.
