  1. We do the same. It’s not safe for the young people to be running around while we’re setting up. One girl tried to help once and injured herself trying to put out the table tennis table. There’s also the issue of when you are responsible for the young people. We make it clear to parents that we are only responsible for them when they are in the building and that we will not open the doors until 8pm. Don’t feel guilty, you have to set boundaries. It might help if you explain why to those who normally arrive early.
