From Youthwork International:

There have been more than 20 youth suicides in Bridgend, Wales since January 2007. Responses from media, Government, social services and churches have not always been helpful as a community tries to come to terms with what is happening and prevent it becoming worse.

Ignite Media, a new film and music production venture, has recently produced an excellent short film addressing the key issues. Whilst it speaks particularly into the Bridgend situation, its use and appeal is for a much wider constituency and can be used by anyone involved in urban youth ministry as an excellent discussion-starter.

Great to see an organisation trying to support, challenge and encourage a local community on such a difficult topic.

  1. I thought Nick was by far the best part of the day. I agree that it’s about time for some more theological and reflection on our work. I didn’t pick up the book though so I’ll have to go get a copy!
